  • Family portrait

My parent's wedding anniversary is coming up. Would like to give them a family portrait as a gift. Can anyone recommend/suggest a good studio/photographer? Thank you

if you don't mind the price, perhaps try Raffles Studio at Neil Rd?
family portrait taken has this warm feeling or colour which i like..
like their wooden frame. nice cravings at the side..

        Hi ibonne & natnatviv,

You two girls are definitely right.

I think I will probably go back to them. 10 years ago, we took our family portrait with them too. Also, when my parents got married, their wedding pictures were taken by Raffles as well.

I visited their web site and gave them a call just now. I think I will use them again. Thanks for your feedback

Raffles - i believe the price range for graduation package is about $600. As it was my sister's, so i can't remember the price well.
not sure on family portrait... maybe tanya can advise on that?

Li Ming (Clementi) - i regretted not spending the $$ for Raffles instead. know the photographer there but the photos turn out to be disappointing.
                too bright, as if exposed.
it's ok overall but with my sister's Raffles hanging besides in comparsion, it fails to make me happy.

with my bro and my grad photos plus family portraits...
i think we have a big one hanging on the wall
and 2 small ones of me and my bro

think one of my gf took hers from li ming
and she look a tad white in the photos..

The very little info I gathered over the phone is that, the most basic package is at $280. There will be about 5 shots in total and it comes with a portrait which is in canvas and with frame about 14 inches by 11 inches in size (definitely not big), plus 5 complimentary postcard sized picture of your choice. If you want bigger portraits, you can order and pay accordingly.

But I believe there are more options available so I will try to visit them soon to have a better idea.

i went down to check out Raffles Studio today since it is very near where i live and i quite like their work! however, i also wish to find out about other studios before i decide on one

has anyone tried any of the following:
                            - Serangoon Broadway
                            - Portrait Gallery (River Valley)
                            - Portrait Master Studio

basically, i'm taking graduation/family pics. not sure if i should go by film or digital  i've not taken any family portraits before so this is our first

Heard so much about Raffles. Anyone knows if they have mortar board for rent if we take our pictures there?
