    how do u think of being a sales executive for car??? i went for interview and unfortunately i being selected.... i realy dun like into sales but am into some situation so i got to work for the company.
    is any of your friend working???

    Mind reveal which car distributor? PI?

    Don't get too :roll: try first, u may enjoy it. But some showrooms have tons of political issues to handle. PI is still not so bad IMO.

      car salesppl get loads of commission.

      anyway, i feel that sales is one job u shouldn't go into unless u love it or loev $$$$ like crazy.

      if u don't mind it, give it a try as it pays well. it may well give u lifelng skills for ur future jobs.

      but if u hate it, anyone can tell u that ur life will be miserable in sales...

          Just poking in here to ask some questions .. how do u actually find these jobs? through newspapers or agencies?
          any basic pay? or purely commission-wise?

            PI always post in ST Classified.

            Distributors in ST Classified as well as ST Recruitment on Sat.

            More established brands have low staff turnover, unless ridiculous target set for them.
            Through recommendation is easier, at least u also know the background & how they operate. Hee... got high political factor or not.

            Most w/ not vy high basic, they expect U to sell, sell, sell.

            IMO. Bit like insurance policy seller & MLM, they hope u can close deals from those around u.

              i work for a korean brand.... its for brand new car... got to sacrifite my sat and sun which i hate it.
              maybe i just work for 3 months and quit... the commision is not so much, less than 1k more than 700. its all depend on the installent loan.
              i wish as u all say the money is good.. hopefully can sell 3 cars in a month i be happy enough.
              basic pay is pathetic, less than 500.... mostly depend on commision basis. I quite surprise when they take me as i have no experince in doin car sales.. as i said, i dunno am i lucky or unlucky.

              what is PI????

                    Is it easy to sell cars, as compared to selling insurance and stuffs? After all, i always see on the roads, people driving new cars every now and then!

                        Komoco & authorised dealers work differently, i hope u like yr job. Selling Hyundai is abit tough nowadays as compared to 2 years ago. Kia was not so strong then. Hyundai rolled out so many Matrixes & Sonatas on the road back then, if u joined earlier, wow.. u huat ah!! Kia is catching up.
                        Sporeans generally can accept yr brand most easily (esp. after bad experiences w/ Daewood). Cheer up & do yr best. Hyundai slashes so low & attractive, hope can bring more sales for u.

                        Perhaps u can try on this job for awhile, if u really enjoy dealing w/ cars, u can move on to another brand.

                        If u are AML, i can go U!

                              Agree with u Vernis, Kia is catching up, but not to worry cutiepie, though Hyundai is not as "hot" as compare to 1-2 yrs ago, its still doing alrite IMHO, as suggested by Vernis due to the attractive price. Give it a try and see if u feel comfy with it.
