  • fried lotus - alt to potato chips

i love the taste of fried lotus. tastes just like potato chips to me.
but is the fat content almost similiar?
    considered a better alternative/healthier?

Fried lotus?? That sounds really funky. I've gotta try this during the holidays. I wonder if it's as addictive as potato chips...

a few dash of salt after frying is good enough huh?

think so as like fries-handling manner

oh! u can do the same with yam

ive tried it and it tastes good to me.

but i apply salt before frying instead of after.

                  krispourri -

the fat content will be similar. doesn't matter what kind of vegetable you're using, it is the cooking method that counts and in this case - deep frying

Hmmm.. but I thought lotus root IS carb? Roots veggies are carb, right? Anyway, carbs are not unhealthy, unless they are highly refined/processed carbs.
