Whoa bluebubble, I really salute you.

I can only aim for yoga two times a week & swimming once a week when the school starts. There will be lesser time as workload has increased.

      * Gym 2-3 times a week
      * Yoga once a week

        wow! Inspiring!

Mine is very pathetic and simple because I'm too lazy.
        1. Swim 20 laps thrice weekly.
        2. 50 crunches every night.
        3. Eventually hoping to ease myself into weights at the gym thrice weekly after doing the first two for 10 weeks.
        4. Yoga once weekly.

xue: pathetic? here's another even lazier cotter

chloe's 2003 fitness challenge (mission: failed)
          1. aerobic x 3/week (postponed to the next day)
          2. pilates x 1/week (postponed to the next day)
          3. 60 crunches every night (every night forgets to do)
          4. Jogging x 2/week (postponed somehow, it always rains/too hot/ too quiet/ missing shoes )

          chloe's 2004 fitness challenge
          1. aerobics 3/week
          2. pilates (can forget it, always strain my muscles)
          3. 60 crunches every night
          4. Eat right
          5. 100 Skipping every morning

I think that's more realistic. Hopefully I can stick to it.

Ann's 2004 fitness challenge (will start after CNY)
            1. Classes at the gym twice a week - preferred classes: pilates, body combat, will try to pick up body balance / body pump
            2. Yoga at cc once a week

That's all! I consider a realistic target as I have stopped exercising for about one year. Shall not be too overly demanding on myself.

my goal is to ensure that i keep to the fitness regime that i have had for the past year !!!

Monday - 30 mins on elliptical machine + 15 mins abs exercise (mix of crunches + pilates type)

Tuesday - 10-15mins on elliptical machine or running on threadmill + 15 mins abs class + 60 mins yoga class (if I miss Monday's session, I will do 30 mins on elliptical machine or running on threadmill)

Wednesday - 60 mins bodysculpt class (using weights and includes abs exercises). (This is new - last year - I will do 30 mins pilates class + 30 mins on elliptical machine but no more pilates class this year ....)

Thursday - 10-15mins on elliptical machine or running on threadmill + 15 mins abs class + 60 mins yoga class (if I feel I ate too much, will do 30 mins on stepper or running on threadmill)

Friday - 60 mins core conditioning class (circuit training with 12 stations of different exercises e.g. weights, push ups, squats, skipping, jumping jacks etc., 45 secs on each station and repeat circuit 2x, followed by 30 mins of abs exercises)

it definitely helps that we have a gym at work - it's only a 1 min walk from my desk and that we have pretty flexi lunch hours so I go during lunch time - really no excuse not to work out !!!

what i really want to accomplish this year is to improve my abs so that i can do the "full" for most pilates exercises !!!

I 'dug' up this old thread. Did you meet your 2004 fitness goals? What is your 2005 challenge?

I didn't meet my 2004 goals The gym's already closed by the time I knock off & weekends were spent Zzzing! That was almost a 2 year break from exercse.

So my 2005 goals will be somewhat similiar:
                  1. Classes at the gym thrice a week - preferred classes: pilates, body combat, body balance, yoga; will try to pick up body pump

I'm into my second week of gym classes, so far so good. I hope to keep this up!

                    Re: 2004 Fitness Challenge!

my goodness i forgot all about this...

lemme see, i managed to achieve 1, 2, 3, and 5 up till august coz that was when i started part-time studies and it was erractically downhill all the way but i still made it to the gym a once or twice a fortnight. dropped pilates due to time constraint, ballet was cut to 2x a week as one teacher shifted her class to a weekday and bukit timah was on occasion.

didn't manage anything on my dream list too but overall not too bad i think... i'm now trying to put in a more regular gym schedule again now that i have settled into school
