i diy lots of stuff.... quilt, pillows, scented sachets and furnitures... even bags... i got my fabrics from spotlight and all sorts of ribbons and fabrics and materials from everywhere i can find and i paint chairs and cupboards.... stencil them and doing up a sea shell mirror with differents shells with a hot glue gun.... even scraps materials can be use...its all depends on your creativity... i love creating and mixing the old and new together and i paint boxes and decorate them with buttons and pearls... plenty of pearls and stuff at pearls centre....

I thought of doing a customised pillow case for SO. Can I get the stencil from Spotlight? Or is there such a thing as permanent pen I can write on fabrics?

There's a shop @ Wheelock Place that specialises in materials for scrapbooking. It's called Elaine's Papererie (IIRC, not too sure if the spelling's right though..). The materials are uber cute & gorgeous! But you've got to be prepared to pay the price though.. Not cheap! HTHS!
