I need recs for a humidifier cause whenever we switch on the aircon at night, the air dries up the insides of my nostrils and its pretty painful. Tried placing a pail of water and a wet towel next to my bed but doesnt help much. So think I'll get a humidifier.

Anyone here using one? Any recs? What should I look out for when buying one?

Not using any humidifier but thought I would share on what happened to a colleague. He had the same problem with dry nostrils but after using a humidifier, he had a sinus problem instead.

Huh?? How did that happen? I do have sinus too, but thats because my nose produces more mucus in the dry air as a reaction to prevent the insides of my nose from drying out too much.

Hi Mango, I'm also looking for a humidifier. Went down to Allercare at Plaza Singapura to look at what they have. There's this Novita one that they're selling - from $100 - $180. Thought Allercare might give good recommendation as they're supposedly specialised in Anti-dust mites products. Saw some other brands too in Courts but don't know how effective they are. So I'm still scouting around and finding out more info.

Bought my Novita humidifier last weekend at Taka and I love it to bits! I use nightly with my airconditioner and the air is no longer unbearably dry, so I sleep alot better these days. Should have thought of this and bought it sooner.

Mm, I'm contemplating whether I should get this Novita one. But now after reading your positive feedback, I think I'll just settle for this. How much was it and was it on sale? TIA

Mango: Thanks for your feedback. That's the one I saw at Courts today too - Model is NH333, in blue right? Think they are clearing this model, so that's why the huge discount. I'll go get it tomorrow before it goes out of stock.

Already the higher-end model NH459 in white $200, in out of stock!

I'm using the Novita white one with blue wordings and knobs. But I realised every morning there will be a puddle of water on the floor or table depending on where I put it. It came from the mist and through the night it accumulates and forms a big pool of water. Anyone has this problem?

I am using the Novita one (the yellow one) and it really works great! I can adjust the humidity level, and I usually set it to about 70%, or else my skin would dry out really badly and start to peel..

                          Can't live without my humidifier!

                            Hi,

Any Eczema sufferers benefit from using a humidifier ?

Am comtemplating on whether to get one or not... not sure if it will help in reducing dry/itchy skin problems. Any reviews?

Great benefits for Eczema sufferers, in fact, I cannot live without one. I have a travel humidifer too.
