  • Flawless back for revealing bareback gown

Hmm, just wondering anyone is undergoing some back treatment for scarred back in order to fit into her sexy bare back gown which is pretty common?

    Any comments/ recommendations?

EDITED by ataraxia: Just like to add that girls interested in zapping back acne should check out the thread Zits on back and chest in CozySkin, which is also extremely relevant! Sorry coyote for editing your post!!

Hi, I don't have this problem but my suggestion is use a body scrub (easily available at body shop and the like) regularly but not every day as you might hurt your skin. Also invest in a loofah which will help to remove dead skin. And finally use a good body lotion rich in vit E after bath faithfully.

As for the ultimate pamper and effect, visit a spa and do a whole body scrub and exfoliation .

      Brides-To-Be!

Don't need to envy, we all face headaches just different one.

Mine is I just recovered from chicken pox and now very scarred. I need to lighten them or wear a WG that is from neck to toes (yucks..hate that), no parts revealed.

hi Coyote! Can vit E cream help to lighten your scars? What do you mean by pitted holes? Is it very bad? what do you intend to do with regards to your face?

Quite bad, largest one is about 3mm. Now visiting Dr. Tan from Derma RX, skin wise improved but not the holes. Dr. Tan said only few sessions of lasers can help me. Was sad over what he said. Am not ready for lasers

Applied Vit. E after the pox, now faithfully follows Dr. Tan 's precription. Hopefully miracle appears!

I also don't know how to post picture, why not email to me? I PM you my email.

My back used to have quite a number of acne marks but it has improved loads now after some back treatments and religious scrubbing.

Exfoliating will help but it may take a while for scars to fade especially if they have been around for a while. The treatments were really costly but I needed them as I was only slightly more than 6 months away from my photo shoot. To top it up, I also tried dabbing some lightening cream on the marks.

hi coyote! sorry to butt in but was reading the previous posts and heard about the scar thingy. are they pitted scars? i have 2 very obvious ones on my face - they are old. (>10 years) and i've consulted my derm who told me that for pitted scars lasers, etc wont achieve very good results.

He recommended me to a plastic surgeon - i went down to find out more and he recommended a procedure where they sew up the scar. there will be a thin line and that will heal in time. basically it will be less obvious but not completely gone. i didn't go for the procedure as i didn't have the $$. ard $350 per scar, not inclusive of other fees. just to share some info with you! since yours is a 'fresh' scar there could be other treatments available! mine are old so i guess that's why lasers, etc cannot do THAT much.

                Hi coyote

i read in the Streats paper today there is a public forum on laser and cosmetic treatments in skin disorder on Saturday, its held at Meritus Mandarin Hotel. Fees at $10/person. You can call 6350 8436/7 for enquiry.

According to the paper, there will be skin specialists from the National skin centre talking on topics like laser treatment for acne scars, skin diseases and birthmarks removal, botox, chemical peels etc. You might want to attend one of these talks and maybe can seek their advice? (probably cheaper then seeing a consultation?)

Coyote dear, I'm with Derma-aesthetics (branches in Winsland House, Riverside pt and Tampines) and they advised me to go for their back treatment/facial. The cost (with package) is around $180 IIRC. The treatment (ard 1.5 hrs) includes:
                    1) Cleanse and scrub
                    2) "Diamond peel" treatment ( they said its exfoliation using processed diamond powder)
                    3) Back mask

Thanks poohgal. How long does it took you to see the improvement? They only do back? I have scars in the front too

Am currently using TBS's olive scrub, african salt scrub but didn't see any improvement yet

I'm with the new Winsland House branch. Tel: 6733-1069. This branch replaces the one used to be at Marina Square. Something about the place....Packages are of a fixed quantum but the treatments usually differ (in type and cost) each time as a skin analysis is performed for every visit.

Coyote, all in all i went for about 10 treatments continously. Stopped treatment after wedding. Its effective in lightening most of the scars but a few of the stubborn ones are still there. I will say that I'm rather satisfied with the results coz although my back is not flawless. I feel confident enough to wear those tops/dresses that are not very low/bare back now

Dont be too upset Coyote I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives around. A lot of such back treatments are available elsewhere and am sure you can find one which is more affordable and just as . Alternatively, you can also try the dermatologists/skin clinics for advice and help.
