I forgot to check back, sorry! I did CELTA at RMIT in Melbourne, because I wasn't willing to wait for the course at British Council to start. There isn't anywhere else you can do it in Singapore, unfortunately.
3 years after I got my CELTA, I went back to Melbourne to do my Master's degree...

I would suggest CELTA too, especially if you intend to work elsewhere. It may not be the best, but it's widely recognised as a reputable entry-level qualification. I did CELTA in 2003 and am still in the industry.Leave a comment:

I would suggest that any student, foreign or local, talk to the consultants at BC before deciding on a course. Despite the fluency of many locals, their problems with grammar, pronunciation, etc are not that different from foreigners'.
